About The Position

The Special Procedures Tech Assistant supports technologists with patient care and helps maintain a safe, clean, well-stocked care environment. The role includes transporting and transferring patients, providing basic patient care as assigned, cleaning patient care areas, changing linens, stocking supplies, and potentially assisting with CR/Image processing. The assistant also supports PACS and Meditech documentation and serves as a departmental ambassador focused on patient satisfaction and quality of care. The employee must follow established safety policies and applicable state and federal regulations, Joint Commission requirements, and National Patient Safety standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist technologists with patient care.
• Transport and transfer patients.
• Provide basic patient care as assigned.
• Clean patient care areas and change linens.
• Stock supplies.
• May assist with CR/Image processing.
• Assist with PACS and Meditech documentation.
• Serve as an ambassador for the department to support high patient satisfaction and quality of care.
• Follow established policies, safety practices, and applicable regulatory and patient-safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
