About The Position

BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time Radiology Technologist for MSK - Special Procedures & IR Neuro Advanced Modality Technologist for Barnes Jewish Hospital – 5th Floor Plaza West Tower (St. Louis, MO) - MSK Special Procedures and Neuro Interventional Radiology Suites Dept. This role involves operating fluoroscopy and other imaging equipment, preparing and maintaining sterile procedure fields, and performing image-guided, minimally invasive procedures. The technologist will support both Musculoskeletal (MSK) and Neuro Interventional Radiology procedures, including stroke intervention, neurovascular procedures, kyphoplasty, ablations, biopsies, and injections. The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced procedural environment and participate in call for emergent cases. On-the-job training will be provided for candidates with strong procedural imaging backgrounds.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in related field
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R)
• IEMA - Illinois only, excl MRI
• RTR,CT,MR,M,BD,CI,VI,RCIS,RCES

Nice To Haves

• Interventional Radiology, Special Procedures, Cath Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, or Neuro IR experience
• Experience with fluoroscopy, sterile technique, and image-guided procedures
• Epic experience
• <2 years experience
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
• Intravenous Therapy

Responsibilities

• Operate fluoroscopy and other imaging equipment
• Prepare and maintain sterile procedure fields
• Perform image-guided procedures
• Perform minimally invasive procedures
• Support Musculoskeletal (MSK) and Neuro Interventional Radiology procedures
• Perform stroke intervention, neurovascular procedures, kyphoplasty, ablations, biopsies, and injections
• Participate in on-call coverage for emergent Neuro IR cases
• Perform studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other sites as required by work area.
