About The Position
The Special Procedure Technician, under the direction of the Manager of the Center for Digestive Diseases, the RN or physician, assists with endoscopic procedures including proctoscopies, colonoscopies, panendoscopies, sclerotherapies, esophageal or pyloric dilatations, PEGs, ERCPs in the GI Lab, Radiology and in the acute care areas.
Requirements
- High School Diploma Required
- BLS Certification
- Completion of orientation to the Center for Digestive Diseases.
- Ability to act and function in emergency situations.
- Effective communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or other healthcare position in which those competencies-required.
Responsibilities
- Assists with endoscopic procedures including proctoscopies, colonoscopies, panendoscopies, sclerotherapies, esophageal or pyloric dilatations, PEGs, ERCPs in the GI Lab, Radiology and in the acute care areas.
