The Psychological Mental Health Technician shall assist with the management and treatment of outpatient behavioral health activities. This role primarily involves providing a wide range of behavioral health interventions from prevention to treatment to individuals, under the supervision of licensed behavioral health professionals. The technician will conduct intakes, assist with the care and treatment of psychiatric, drug, and alcohol patients, and counsel clients with personal, behavioral, or psychological problems. The position requires independent work, utilizing judgment to apply appropriate guidelines, and referring unusual matters to the supervisor. Responsibilities include observing patients, leading therapy sessions, completing intake interviews and forms, collecting statistical data, administering psychological and psychophysiological tests, maintaining databases, preparing correspondence, assisting in program development, managing budgets, developing appointment templates, handling work orders and inventory, gathering data for presentations, and interfacing with family support organizations.
