About The Position
Would you like to give compassionate care to clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the comfort of their own homes? To qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of verifiable work experience with individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities. We have current Direct Support Professional openings in the following locations: Lenoir, Granite Falls, and the surrounding area. Morning, afternoon and weekend shifts available.
Requirements
- At least one year of verifiable work experience with individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming, etc.)
- Accompany clients on errands and appointments.
- Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation.
- Participate in community integration activities.
- Ability to work independently in a client’s home/community
