About The Position
A family in North Brunswick Township, NJ is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dependable caregiver for their 16-year-old son with Autism. The ideal candidate will be patient, engaging, and experienced supporting individuals with special needs while promoting independence and participation in daily activities. The home is a smoke-free and pet-free environment.
Requirements
- Previous caregiving experience required
- Previous experience caring for individuals with Autism required
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute consistently
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable
- Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States
Nice To Haves
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide after-school support and supervision
- Assist with personal care and activities of daily living
- Prepare snacks and meals as needed
- Provide medication reminders
- Light housekeeping and laundry related to the client's care
- Collaborate with in-home therapists
- Engage in walks, outdoor activities, and community outings
- Promote a safe, structured, and supportive environment
