BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking a Special Needs Caregiver (DSP) to join the team in Hendersonville, NC. BAYADA’s Special Needs Caregivers (DSP) work one-on-one in home and community settings as a companion and mentor for individuals with intellectual or developmental disability to help them reach their full potential. We’re urgently hiring Special Needs Caregivers (DSP) for the following area: Hendersonville, Horse Shoe, and the surrounding areas! Shifts available : Morning, Afternoon, and Weekend Shifts Available shifts subject to change based on client needs

Requirements

• One year experience working with intellectual and development disabilities
• Significant experience working with individuals who have Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), including strong understanding of related behaviors and support strategies
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming)
• Accompany clients on errands and appointments
• Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
• Participate in community integration activities
• Help lift and reposition clients.
