About The Position

The Cincinnati Insurance Companies' Special Investigations Unit is seeking a Special Investigator to support a territory based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The territory includes Minnesota, portions of North Dakota and South Dakota, and northwestern Iowa, where the company conducts business. The role investigates questionable insurance claims and may refer cases to law enforcement when evidence warrants it. Relocation and overnight travel may be necessary.

Requirements

• Ability to self-start.
• Discipline to work in a non-office setting.
• Ability to manage numerous files at one time, set priorities, and stay organized.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to write thorough and detailed reports.
• Experience and skills in interviewing.
• Knowledge of public speaking skills for training purposes.

Nice To Haves

• Five or more years of investigative experience interacting with law enforcement, public investigative agencies, and state governmental agencies.
• Experience providing courtroom testimony at the local, state, or federal level.
• Knowledge of civil and criminal law.
