Special Inspector/Materials Testing Technician
About The Position
Kleinfelder's Construction Services team is looking for a Special Inspector/Materials Testing Technician to join their Southern California team in the Ontario, CA office. This role involves performing routine to complex inspection and testing of construction materials in the field to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications. The technician will prepare daily reports and data sheets and may be called upon to perform various tasks at the discretion of their supervisor. Requirements
- Willingness to travel throughout California (50% travel expected)
- Ability to work/stay out of town as needed to service project workloads
- 2+ years of soil, asphalt, and reinforced concrete testing and inspection experience
- Radiation safety training for the operation of a nuclear density gauge
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade 1 certification
- ICC Reinforced Concrete certification
- Must have own vehicle, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Nice To Haves
- Additional ICC certifications
- CWI certification
- Demonstrate the ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team
- Excellent organizational and communication skills both written and verbal
- Must be able to use a computer and/or iPad and have a general knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and photo management software
- Ability to learn and grow with technological demands pertaining to daily field reports and field data
