Anthos|Home is a nonprofit startup focused on creating a new way home for New Yorkers with housing vouchers. We streamline the apartment search, approval, and move-in process using technology to move people into stable housing faster. We believe every person deserves a place to blossom, and we're building the tools, systems, and teams to make that possible. At Anthos|Home, urgency drives our work because every day in shelter matters. We are focused on helping people move into stable housing as quickly as possible and continuously improving how we get there. We are looking for team members who are highly data-oriented, tech-savvy, and comfortable learning new systems. Strong candidates value accuracy, use data to inform decisions, and actively improve how information is tracked and shared. We value people who are thoughtful, adaptable, and detail-oriented, and who follow through, communicate openly, and take ownership of their work. How effectively we use data and technology directly impacts how quickly people get home. The Special Initiatives Director will report to the Deputy Chief of Program Operations and lead the planning, launch, and management of new strategic initiatives at Anthos|Home. This role requires fluency in both Spanish and English (written and verbal), as the Director will engage a diverse set of partners, stakeholders, and communities across New York City. As the organization grows and identifies new opportunities to expand its impact or demonstrate program efficacy, the Director will develop and implement relevant programs. They will help transform new concepts into operational programs by managing program design, coordinating across internal teams and external partners, building stakeholder engagement structures, developing program materials, and ensuring that data collection and evaluation are in place to measure outcomes. The Director may transition between initiatives as organizational priorities evolve. The first initiative the Director will lead is a groundbreaking pilot program, conducted in partnership with a group of high-need schools, that helps students in need of housing move into permanent homes. This role requires close coordination across Anthos|Home teams, school support partners, shelter providers, community stakeholders, and funders. The Director’s responsibilities will include standing up the infrastructure of the program, communicating the pilot’s model and impact to external partners and stakeholders, and ensuring data collection and reporting protocols. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a first-of-its-kind program that has the potential to demonstrate a scalable solution for ending student homelessness in New York City. In the long term, the Director will be a key part of establishing innovative new pathways to housing for New Yorkers. The ideal candidate is equal parts strategic thinker and hands-on doer—a professional who is energized by building something from the ground up and who brings the project management rigor to see it through. They thrive in collaborative, cross-sector environments and are motivated by the opportunity to turn innovative ideas into measurable impact for New Yorkers.
