Requirements

Current State EMT certification (Maryland and DC certifications required upon hire)
Valid driver’s license
Current CPR certification
Background check and child abuse clearance
High school diploma or GED
Strong attendance, punctuality, and professional communication skills
Basic computer skills for timekeeping, scheduling, communication, and charting
Ability to meet physical job demands, including: Lifting/moving patients (125 lbs. unassisted / 250+ lbs. assisted), Carrying patients up/down stairs, Using stretchers and stair chairs, Prolonged standing or sitting and frequent movement during event foot patrols

Responsibilities

Provide safe, professional, and compassionate emergency care and patient transport at special events
Cover events such as national men’s and women’s soccer matches, university sporting events, road races (5Ks to full marathons), and event first aid stations
Represent LifeStar Response with outstanding customer service and professionalism
Work collaboratively with a team dedicated to exceeding expectations
