About The Position

Join Our Elite Security Team for the Madera Fair! Are you a dedicated security professional looking for a dynamic, high-energy environment? We are hiring 50 Guard Carded Security Officers to join our team for the upcoming Madera Fair! If you excel in public safety, love being part of community events, and thrive in an active role, we want you. Position Summary: A Signal Special Events Security Officer will conduct and ensure security of all guests and access points for the Special Events location. All duties listed below are minimum requirements – additional duties listed in the site’s Post Orders are requirements as well.

Requirements

Must possess a valid BSIS Guard Card.
Must be physically capable of standing and walking for an entire shift.
Exceptional communication and observation skills.
Reliable transportation to and from the Madera Fairgrounds.
Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
18 years of age or older
High school diploma or GED
Pass background check and drug test
Must have reliable transportation
Complete training modules within first month
Excellent organization, oral, and written communication skills
Demonstrate a commitment to service, organization values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times
Must be able to move equipment weighing up to 20 pounds

Responsibilities

Conduct continuous foot patrols across assigned zones.
Stand for the duration of the scheduled shift.
Monitor crowds and maintain a safe, welcoming environment.
Respond quickly and professionally to safety concerns.
Provide excellent customer service to fairgoers.
Ensure fans safety and security by conducting careful entry screening and inspections. This will include the tactful messaging of prohibited items or non-compliant bags that cannot be allowed into the stadium.
Conduct pat downs as needed to ensure there are no prohibited items entering the stadium.
Conduct and deliver various dedicated services that reflect the company’s values, expectations, and consistent service in alignment with site specific instructions/post orders.
Assist guests with any special requests including ADA questions or accommodations.
Monitor crowd activities and report any suspicious activity and/or behavior to your area supervisor.
Appropriately identify and escalate security concerns to your supervisor or nearest Law Enforcement Officer as needed.
Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
Write detailed and accurate reports utilizing company technology and web or app-based software during each shift that align with site instruction/post orders.
Consistently arrive on time for shifts, clock in and out, meet time commitments, follow instruction, follow dress code and appearance standards and expectations.
Interact with internal and external customers on site cultivating a customer service relationship while striving to provide peace of mind.
Responsible for the care of any Signal equipment assigned during shift including radios, access keys/cards, vehicles, and devices, etc.
