About The Position

Directs and oversees the primary fundraising events of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City. Primary functions include event management, pre- and post-event management, event fundraising for cash solicitation, and in-kind donation solicitation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communication, Business or related field.
  • 2-4 years of event management and fundraising experience.
  • Ability to solicit gifts for event sponsorships and in-kind donations.
  • Exceptional skills in building relationships with corporate and individual donors as well as all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advanced understanding of the mission, operation, strategic goals and services of Catholic Charities.
  • Excellent English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  • Ability to evaluate and analyze donor contribution trends and giving patterns.
  • Be sensitive to cultural and socioeconomic diversity of Catholic Charities’ service population.
  • Ability to adjust communication style to handle effectively diverse situations.
  • Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, oversee, and direct multiple projects simultaneously using appropriate deadlines.
  • Maintain confidential and sensitive information.
  • Work cooperatively with other divisions, outside agencies, boards, management, and the general public.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing, tailoring the message to the intended audience.
  • Able to function autonomously and be proactive.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
  • Experience with OneCause Fundraising Platform is preferred.
  • Use of Adobe Creative Suite, OneCause Fundraising Platform, Raiser’s Edge, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight and manage event planning (including sponsorship requests, in-kind auction donations, volunteer management, budget and vendor relations) including, but not limited to: Green Tie Gala, Reds, Whites and Brews, and Regional Fundraising Events
  • Serve as primary coordinator and staff liaison of annual Green Tie Gala, Reds, Whites and Brews and all event committees.
  • Prospect identification and probing for corporate gifts and individual donors as it relates to events or other opportunities.
  • Coordination with internal departments and/or external vendors for the creation of marketing materials and execution of marketing efforts.
  • Input information into the fundraising data system and/or event software database so that information is timely, accurate and consistently recorded in accordance with development, finance and regulatory policies.
  • Research, compile, tabulate, analyze and interpret data and information.
  • Assist with the planning, scheduling and organization of special events for agency, departments, or regional locations.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Annual Giving or Senior Director of Development and Outreach.
