About The Position

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Special Education Teaching Assistant to support students in Charleston, SC. In this role, you’ll work with a collaborative district and a supportive, therapist-run team to help support students in the school setting. Requirements

High School Diploma (required)
Associates Degree (60 College Credits) or Bachelor’s Degree

Responsibilities

Support students with diverse learning and developmental needs in a Special Education classroom
Assist with instructional activities, behavior support, and daily routines
Provide assistance with personal care and activities of daily living when required
Collaborate with a dedicated classroom team consisting of 1 Special Education Teacher and 2 additional Instructional Assistants
Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
