About The Position
This position is responsible for providing assistance to students receiving special education services in an inclusion classroom. The teaching assistant will work with individual or small groups of students in an instructional capacity, supervise students during other activities such as lunch, and assist in completing necessary paperwork, all under the direction of the principal and classroom teacher.
Requirements
- Must meet the requirements for a Title I paraprofessional.
- Must have a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent.
- Completed two years of study at an institution of higher education (48 credit hours); or Obtained an associate's (or higher) degree; or Have passed the Parapro Assessment through ETS.
- Proof of highly qualified certification must be attached to your application.
