About The Position

We are currently accepting applications for full-time Special Education Teachers to work with our Elementary or Middle School students. This is a 10-month position beginning mid-August; work hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree (or higher) from an accredited institution required
• A flexible personality that demonstrates enthusiasm, celebrates success, and responds positively to adversity
• An interpersonal skillset that fosters positive communication with students, staff, administration, and parents
• A strong work ethic and an excellent attendance record
• Copy of your PA State Police Criminal Record Clearance (Act 34)
• Copy of your DPW Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
• Copy of your FBI Clearance Fingerprinting with the UEID # (Act 114)
• Completion of a Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release (Act 168)
• Completion of PDE Form 6004: Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification (Act 24)
• Copy of high school and/or college transcripts
• Three letters of professional reference
• Completion of a PA School Health Record
• Completion of Mandated Reporter Abuse Training (Act 126)
• Completion of Professional Ethics Training

Nice To Haves

• PDE Special Education Teaching Certificate preferred, ER Certification considered
• Previous experience teaching in a K-8 setting is highly desired
