Special Education Teacher
About The Position
Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Special Education Teacher to support high school students in an Autism Spectrum (ASD) program in Aurora, CO. In this role, you'll provide individualized instruction, develop and implement IEPs, and create a structured, supportive learning environment where students can build academic, social, and functional skills. You'll collaborate with a dedicated school team while receiving support from a therapist-owned company that understands school-based services. This role offers the chance to make a lasting impact while helping students achieve meaningful success.
Requirements
- Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license with Special Education endorsement
- Strong classroom management and collaboration skills

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Provide specialized academic, behavioral, and functional instruction
- Create a structured classroom environment that promotes student success
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Complete progress reports and maintain compliant documentation
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs
- Utilize evidence-based strategies and technology to enhance student learning and engagement
