About The Position
Boothby Therapy Services is hiring a Special Education Teacher for a full-time, elementary school-based position in Ludlow, Vermont. This role allows for an immediate start with continuation into the 2026–2027 school year. This role supports young learners, helping students build foundational academic, social, and developmental skills in a supportive, team-based environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education (minimum)
- Valid Vermont Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility)
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience or interest in early childhood, preschool, or special education settings preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized instruction to early childhood students with diverse learning needs
- Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver specialized instruction aligned with student goals and developmental milestones
- Use play-based and developmentally appropriate teaching strategies
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers (SLPs, OTs, PTs), and families
- Monitor and document student progress using data-driven practices
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development
- Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment for young learners
