High School Special Education Teacher
About The Position
Cross Country Education is seeking passionate Special Education Teachers to support high school students across a variety of learning environments during the 2026-2027 school year in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves designing and delivering individualized, evidence-based instruction that connects academic concepts to real-life situations. Teachers will monitor student progress using formal/informal evaluations, maintain accurate documentation for IEP implementation and state compliance, and partner with families, colleagues, and multidisciplinary teams to foster a cohesive and supportive learning environment. A structured, positive classroom that promotes student engagement and emotional safety is essential.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or a related field
- Active Arizona Special Education Teaching Certification
- Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Knowledge of Essential Elements of Effective Instruction (EEEI)
