About The Position

Boothby Therapy Services is hiring multiple Special Education Teachers for full-time, school-based positions in Turner, Maine for the 2026–2027 school year. We are partnering with local schools to fill a variety of special education caseloads across grade levels and student populations. Placements may include early childhood, elementary, middle school, life skills, behavioral support, and other specialized programs. We work closely with candidates to match educators with roles that align with their experience, strengths, and professional preferences. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Special Education (minimum)
Valid Maine Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility)
Experience working with special education students in school-based settings preferred
Openings available for educators with experience across a range of populations and grade levels
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

Provide individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs
Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Deliver specialized instruction aligned with student goals and academic standards
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
Monitor and document student progress using data-driven practices
Support students with academic, behavioral, communication, social-emotional, and functional needs
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations
Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development
Foster supportive, inclusive learning environments for all students
