About The Position

The San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) is seeking a Mild/Moderate Special Education Teacher for Galileo High School for the 2026-2027 school year. Requirements

  • Hold or be pursuing a valid California teaching credential.
  • Hold or be pursuing an English Learner or Bilingual Authorization.
  • Knowledge of San Francisco’s public schools/urban public schools.
  • Strong belief in SFUSD’s commitment to instructional leadership.
  • Strong analytics and systems thinking necessary to interpret data to inform goals and strategy.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple functions and roles within a complex organization.
  • Proven record of effectively planning, organizing and using resources to take action and achieve goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction and support to students with mild/moderate special education needs.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate student records and documentation.
