About The Position
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs. This role focuses on creating an inclusive, structured, and supportive learning environment that promotes academic, social, and behavioral development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Colorado Teaching License with Special Education endorsement (required or eligible)
- Experience working with students with disabilities (preferred)
Nice To Haves
- Experience with autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, or emotional/behavioral disorders
- Familiarity with assistive technology and inclusive classroom practices
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to student academic and developmental needs
- Adapt curriculum, lesson plans, and teaching strategies for diverse learners
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and structured interventions
- Conduct assessments and participate in IEP meetings and reviews
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
- Support students’ social, emotional, and life skill development
