About The Position

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
Valid Special Education teaching license (state-specific, required or eligible)
Experience working with students with disabilities (preferred)

Nice To Haves

Experience with autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, or emotional/behavioral needs
Familiarity with assistive technology and inclusive classroom strategies
Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
Effective classroom management and behavioral support strategies
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Excellent organization and documentation abilities
Patience, empathy, and student-focused mindset
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary school environment

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students
Provide specialized instruction based on academic, behavioral, and developmental needs
Adapt curriculum, lesson plans, and instructional strategies for diverse learners
Monitor and document student progress and adjust instruction as needed
Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and structured interventions
Conduct student assessments and participate in IEP meetings and reviews
Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
Support students’ social, emotional, and life skills development
