About The Position
Clarifi Staffing Solutions is connecting an experienced Special Education Teacher with an Illinois school district seeking support for a self-contained classroom. This position serves approximately 10 students, with the majority of learners diagnosed with autism, including some students with significant support needs. The role is well suited for an educator who is confident working in a structured setting and knows how to balance individualized instruction with consistent classroom routines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field.
- Active Illinois PEL with the appropriate Special Education endorsement.
- Strong communication, organization, adaptability, and classroom leadership skills.

Responsibilities
- Provide specially designed instruction aligned with student IEPs.
- Adjust lessons and classroom activities to address individual learning needs.
- Use effective behavioral and classroom management techniques to encourage participation and progress.
- Monitor student development.
- Maintain educational records.
- Contribute to IEP meetings.
- Work closely with paraprofessionals, families, and related-service professionals to provide coordinated student support.
