Special Education Teacher
About The Position
Arisa Health is seeking candidates to fill a special education teacher position at our Therapeutic Day Treatment program in Siloam Springs. The Special Education teacher will be providing classroom instruction to students with emotional and behavioral difficulties. Arisa Health is Arkansas' largest and most comprehensive nonprofit behavioral health provider. Formed by the affiliation of 4 long-standing Arkansas community mental health centers, Arisa Health leads with exceptional care that nurtures health and well-being for all. Arisa provides outpatient services, Crisis services and emergency screening, substance abuse counseling, intensive children services, intensive adult services, medical services, and residential services in 41 Arkansas counties.
Requirements
- Current Arkansas Special Education Teaching certification or a current Arkansas Teaching certification and willingness to obtain Special Education certification.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience working with Individualized Education Plans, 504s, and behavioral/functional support plans.
- Experience with statewide testing.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Patience.
- Flexibility.
- Good time management skills.
