About The Position

The Children's Guild is seeking a Special Education Teacher for their Brooklyn, MD location. This is a full-time, salaried position with a 10-month schedule. The ideal candidate will be able to manage IEPs, create engaging instruction, use positive behavioral and restorative practices, track student progress, and collaborate with various stakeholders. The role requires a passion for making a positive impact on students' lives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Experience supporting students with special needs and/or autism
• Patience, creativity, and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Create engaging, individualized instruction and support IEP goals
• Use positive behavioral and restorative practices
• Track progress and adjust instruction to meet students where they are
• Collaborate with families, educators, therapists, and support teams
