About The Position
The Special Education Teacher provides special education services to elementary school students in an inclusion environment. The position is based at John Kerr Elementary School and is for the 2026–2027 school year. The workday is full time, 10 months, 200 days, and 7 hours per day. The anticipated start date is January 2027. The salary range for the 2026–2027 school year is $54,590–$85,329, with additional supplemental pay for a graduate degree. A fully licensed successful candidate is eligible for a $5,000 signing incentive and a $5,000 VRS-qualified stipend.
Requirements
- Background working with elementary school students who have learning disabilities.
- Hold a Virginia teaching license with an endorsement in Special Education K-12 General Curriculum or Specific Learning Disabilities K-12, or be eligible for such licensure.
