About The Position
Lionsgate Academy specializes in educating students living with Autism and other learning differences and offers more than a typical school. We offer small class sizes, small case loads, and provide due process days. This position is for Special Education Teachers and does not involve case managing.
Requirements
- Possession of a valid Minnesota teaching license in Special Education
- If not currently licensed, must be willing and eligible to apply for and receive a Tier 1 or 2 Teaching License
- Ability to operate a computer and the software necessary to complete required job tasks
Nice To Haves
- Minnesota ASD and/or EBD teaching license
- Experience, interest and/or expertise working with students on the autism spectrum, varied learning styles and levels of mastery
- Experience in differentiation, using creative teaching techniques from project–based to direct-instruction in developing personalized learning plans for each student
