About The Position

Ampersand Therapy is hiring an Exceptional Education Teacher to support students in Chattanooga, TN. In this role, you will provide individualized instruction, develop IEPs, and create inclusive learning environments that help students succeed. You will work with a collaborative district and a supportive, therapist-run team. Ampersand Therapy is a women- and therapist-operated company built by providers who understand school-based work. Requirements

• TN certification for Special Education Teaching with Interventionist or Comprehensive Endorsement
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Special Education
• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
• Provide specialized instruction across academic subjects
• Manage classroom behavior and create a structured, supportive environment
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
• Write progress reports and maintain compliant documentation
• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies for diverse learning needs
• Incorporate technology and resources to enhance learning
