About The Position

HealthPRO Pediatrics is seeking a Full-Time Special Education Teacher to support high school students in a school district in Maricopa County, Arizona. This is a meaningful opportunity to support students while working with a collaborative and supportive education team. The position is an in-person role with immediate need, offering 40 hours per week over 8-hour workdays. The role involves supporting students in a high school resource setting.

Requirements

Valid Arizona Special Education certification
Valid driver's license
Must hold a current and valid Arizona Special Education teaching certificate appropriate for the assigned grade level and instructional setting.
Must meet all applicable Arizona Department of Education certification and credentialing requirements.
Must maintain or obtain all required fingerprint clearance and district-mandated credentials.
Demonstrated experience working effectively with culturally diverse students and families.
Assumes responsibility for ongoing professional development and continuing education, as required to maintain applicable certification and professional competencies.

Responsibilities

Consult and collaborate with School staff and families in regards to students’ educational deficits
Conduct initial screenings as well as comprehensive evaluations
Participate in the IEP process in developing present levels of performance, goals and objectives, and treatment recommendations for students qualifying for Special Education services
Provide Special Education sessions through the use of current best practices based on prescribed services in the IEP
Maintain all documentation required by the district including, but not limited to, notes, monthly summaries, and annual IEP’s
