About The Position
Ampersand Therapy is hiring a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time position for the 2026–2027 school year in Maywood, IL. This role is for an Elementary Self-Contained Special Education Teacher within the Maywood School District 89. The position is full-time, Monday - Friday, with a start date of ASAP for the 2026-2027 School Year.
Requirements
- Valid Illinois PEL with LBS1 endorsement
- Fingerprinting and background check required before start
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Passion for inclusive education and student-centered practices
Responsibilities
- Teach elementary self-contained special education students.
