About The Position

Empowerment Academy Charter School is hiring Special Education teachers to join our growing High School next year. We are seeking Special Education Teachers for High School Mathematics, Special Education High School ELA/English, and Special Education High School Science. Certified Special Education teachers are eligible for a $3,000 bonus. Certified Math and Science teachers are eligible for a $7,500 bonus. The base salary for the 25/26 school year is $70,000 - $90,000, with opportunities for additional bonuses, stipends, and raises. Requirements

Must hold a New Jersey Department of Education CE, Limited CE, CEAS or Standard Certificate in Special Education.
To teach a High School Content Area, must be certified in that content area as well.
TOH certification is also considered.

Responsibilities

Teach Special Education High School Mathematics, ELA/English, or Science.
Collaborate with peers in professional learning communities (PLCs) to plan lessons and solve problems.
Partner with an array of specialists to meet scholars’ diverse needs.
Utilize a research-based curriculum and supporting curricular materials.
Employ high-quality formative assessments to identify student mastery.
Support students struggling with academic challenges with the help of reading and math specialists.
Assist students struggling with non-academic problems with the support of counselors and social workers.
