About The Position

This position is for a Fully Self-Contained (FSC) class for medically fragile students in grades 9-12. The Hawaii State Department of Education is committed to hiring highly qualified teachers. A Bachelor's Degree is the minimum qualification for teacher positions, unless it's a designated Career and Technology Education (CTE) position. If hired without a completed Teacher's Education Program, you have a maximum of 3 years to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license and must enroll in a program to continue employment. You must demonstrate active pursuit towards meeting licensing requirements annually. It is your responsibility to ensure your enrolled program aligns with your hired teaching line. A valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit is required upon hire.

Requirements

• Valid Special Education license from the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board
• Bachelor's Degree
• Valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit upon hire
