About The Position

HealthPRO Pediatrics is looking for a Special Education Teacher (SPED) to join their team in Charleston, SC. This role involves supporting students' academic and functional success within a collaborative therapy team. Multiple position options are available, including Full-Time Resource SPED Teacher, Co-Teaching, Pull-out Services SPED Teacher, Primarily 5th grade Low Incidence Autism Teacher, and Part-Time Resource SPED Teacher (20 hours/week, mornings). The position offers a great schedule with weekends, holidays, and summers off, along with generous PTO accrual and year-round benefits packages for full-time employees. Requirements

Must hold a current license to practice in the state of South Carolina
Have successful experience working with culturally diverse families.
Assumes responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development

Responsibilities

Consult and collaborate with School staff and families in regards to students’ educational deficits
Conduct initial screenings as well as comprehensive evaluations
Participate in the IEP process in developing present levels of performance, goals and objectives, and treatment recommendations for students qualifying for Special Education services
Provide Special Education sessions through the use of current best practices based on prescribed services in the IEP
Maintain all documentation required by the district including, but not limited to, notes, monthly summaries, and annual IEP’s
