T26/27 Special Education Teacher (Hoffman-Boston)
About The Position
This position is a 1.0 FTE located at Hoffman-Boston Elementary for SY 26/27. The teacher will implement instructional programs that meet the needs, interests and abilities of students using appropriate instructional materials. They will maintain a safe and orderly environment, communicate with parents/guardians, and maintain complete and accurate student records. Collaboration with school administrators, other teachers, instructional assistants, parents, and community members is expected. The role also involves monitoring and assessing student achievement and attending ongoing professional learning and meetings.
Requirements
- Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
- Special Education endorsement.
- Teaching experience in the above mentioned areas.
- Knowledge of best instructional practices.
- Ability to integrate technology.
- Experience in educational and instructional leadership.
Nice To Haves
- Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
