The Special Education Teacher will provide academic and behavior intervention in specific skill deficit areas to students with disabilities (SWDs). This role involves maintaining special education paperwork, preparing progress reports, administering tests, and using EasyIEP for Individual Education Program (IAIEP) development and other reports. The teacher will attend and chair IAIEP and S-Team meetings, consult with parents and professionals, and work collaboratively with educational assistants, Behavior Interventionists, and other teachers. Responsibilities include implementing individualized academic and behavioral interventions, completing reevaluation reports, and planning curriculum and lessons tailored to students' individual needs. The teacher must also maintain classroom order, follow safety procedures, attend professional development, and represent the school positively.
