About The Position

This position is for a Special Education Teacher in Anoka, MN, with additional openings in Andover, Blaine, Coon Rapids, and other locations within the school district. The contract is for the 2026-2027 school year, starting ASAP and ending on 06/10/2027. The schedule is Monday-Friday, approximately 35-37.5 hours per week, in an on-site setting. The student population ranges from Elementary through High School, with a caseload of approximately 8-10 students, depending on location. Multiple openings are available.
Requirements
- Valid Tier 3 or Tier 4 Minnesota Special Education teaching license required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with students in center-based special education settings is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction in center-based special education classrooms.
- Develop and adapt curriculum to meet diverse student learning needs.
- Differentiate instruction and respond appropriately to student behaviors.
- Establish and implement classroom behavior expectations and behavior plans.
- Collaborate with parents, related service providers, and paraprofessionals.
- Provide direction and support to paraprofessionals working with students.
- Complete compliant special education documentation using the SpEd Forms platform.
- Support students in achieving their academic, behavioral, and individualized education goals.
