Special Education Resource Teacher - 1.0 FTE. This position is for the beginning of the 2026-27 school year. The role involves teaching the curriculum of Independent School District 196, developing and demonstrating culturally responsive practices for equitable outcomes, and providing proactive support for students with emotional regulation difficulties. The teacher will instruct students in strategies for social-emotional skill development, utilize various forms of assistive technology, and employ high expectations with diverse instructional techniques. Collaboration with colleagues to plan, teach, and support students with disabilities in the least restrictive environment is key. The position also requires advocating for students with disabilities to ensure high achievement and promoting strong communication with staff, parents, and other professionals, while carrying out responsibilities as defined by the master contract.
