This is a Special Education Resource Teacher position with a 1.0 FTE (LTS) for the anticipated dates beginning the 2026-27 school year until December 6, 2026. The role involves teaching the curriculum of Independent School District 196, developing and demonstrating culturally responsive practices for equitable outcomes, and providing proactive support for students with emotional regulation difficulties. The teacher will instruct students in social-emotional skills, utilize various assistive technologies, and employ high expectations with diverse instructional techniques. Collaboration with colleagues to support students with disabilities in the least restrictive environment, advocating for students, and promoting strong communication with staff, parents, and professionals are key aspects of this role. Responsibilities are defined by the master contract.
