About The Position

The Low Incidence Disability Specialist will provide support and assist in coordinating instructional programs relating to special education students and their Individual Education Plans. He/she will monitor the programs with students with low incidence disabilities. To work with regular education staff in planning and delivering special education programs that enable students with Low Incidence to spend as much time as appropriate in the regular education environment.

Requirements

PA Certificate: Special Education, required
Experienced in community-based instruction and behavioral modifications
Knowledge of the principles of behavior management and experience developing and writing behavior management plans tailored to individual needs
Ability to analyze the instructional environment and design strategies that will assist the student to function appropriately within that environment
