This role involves assisting special needs students with their personal care needs, including hygiene, toileting, and dressing. The assistant will support students with multiple challenges in the classroom and school environment, follow prescribed behavioral and instructional programs, and maintain composure during stressful situations. The position may require physical flexibility for running, walking, lifting, and responding to physical needs. Training in student health-related awareness and intervention will be provided. The assignment may be at multiple sites based on student needs, and may involve general help during downtime. Record keeping and parent contact may be required.
