About The Position
This position is for a Paraprofessional/ SPED Self Contained Instructional Aide at Red Sands Elementary. The role is for the 2026-2027 School Year, with a closing date of August 25, 2026. The daily rate is between $117.20 - $142.08 for 187 work days, with 8 hours per day.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completed two (2) years of study at an institution of higher education (48 college credit hours) or Associate's degree (or higher)
- Must apply and obtain a Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate (upon hire)
- Minimum of (1) year experience working with students
Responsibilities
- Must be able to lift 50-150 pounds
- Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate with parents, co-workers, and students
- Ability to work well with children with disabilities
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work well under supervision
- Ability to use computer and be familiar with word, excel, access, and e-mail systems
