About The Position

This position is for a Special Education Self Contained Instructional Aide for the Kinder Collab program at William D. Surratt Elementary. The role is for the 2026-2027 school year and involves working with students in a self-contained special education setting.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completed two (2) years of study at an institution of higher education (48 college credit hours) or Associate's degree (or higher)
• Must apply and obtain a Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate (upon hire)
• Minimum of (1) year experience working with students

Responsibilities

• Work with children with disabilities
• Effectively communicate with parents, co-workers, and students
• Work well under supervision
• Use computer and be familiar with word, excel, access, and e-mail systems
• Lift 50-150 pounds
