About The Position

The Special Education Resource Aide will provide instructional support to students with disabilities within the resource setting at Ricardo Estrada Middle School. This position is for the 2026-2027 school year and involves working 187 days per year, 8 hours per day.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completed two (2) years of study at an institution of higher education (48 college credit hours) or an Associate's degree (or higher)
• Must apply and obtain a Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate (upon hire)
• Ability to effectively communicate with parents, co-workers, and students
• Ability to work well with children with disabilities
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work well under supervision
• Ability to use computer and be familiar with word, excel, access, and e-mail systems

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children preferred
