About The Position

To aid and support all students that need the TABE test, Progress test, Official Ready test, and the Official GED test. This is a ten (10) month (200 days) contract position, Pay 802 Grade 02, plus benefits package. Precise placement within the salary range will be determined based on experience. The salary range is based on an eight-hour workday. This position is Non-Exempt.

Requirements

High school diploma with at least 60 college hours or Associate Degree or have passed the ParaPro Praxis Exam or at least 5 years of experience with GED testing.
Must pass the GED Examiner’s Test.
Demonstrates competence for assigned responsibilities.
Computer skills are required.
Possesses positive interpersonal relations skills.
Commitment to the importance of confidentiality of records.
Evidence of a strong commitment to quality desegregated education.
Ability to work for the duration of the daily contracted time period, and to be physically present and at assigned work, with only infrequent unexcused absences, during the contract year.

Responsibilities

Administers placement test, progress test, Official Ready test, and Official GED test.
Maintains such student records as shall be required.
Keeps testing office neat, quiet, and orderly.
Shifts to new tasks when priorities change.
Assists individuals in need of special attention.
Implements behavior management techniques.
Assists in data collection.
Assists students with the process of setting up their GED testing accounts and scheduling the GED Ready test.
Assists students with better clarifying communication in obtaining their GED credential, applying for accommodations, and obtaining testing vouchers.
Participates in in-services, staffing, faculty meetings, etc.
Completes daily work schedules as assigned.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
