Paraprofessional - Special Education - Princeton Onward Program
About The Position
This position provides instructional support, personal care, and assistance to students aged 18+ in the Onward Program, located at the District Center. The Special Education Paraprofessional works under the direction of the Principal and guidance of the Special Education Teacher. Responsibilities include adapting regular classroom curriculum to meet individual student needs, repeating directions at a student's level of understanding, encouraging cooperation, communicating expectations, modifying tests or tasks into smaller steps, and assisting students with mobility, adaptive, or other special needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work under the direction of the Principal and guidance of the Special Education Teacher
- Ability to adapt curriculum and modify tasks for students with special needs
- Ability to assist students with mobility and personal care needs
