About The Position

Cross Country Education is seeking a caring and dependable Special Education Paraprofessional to provide individualized support and make a meaningful impact on a student's academic, social, and personal growth throughout the school year in Goodyear, AZ. This role involves providing dedicated one-on-one classroom support to a student with specialized educational and personal care needs throughout the school day. The paraprofessional will assist with daily living activities, including feeding, mobility support, positioning, and personal care, while promoting student comfort, safety, and independence. Collaboration with teachers, support staff, and families to implement individualized learning and behavioral support strategies is key. Flexibility to assist in other classrooms or assignments as needed is also required, while fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Applicable background clearance required prior to employment

Nice To Haves

Previous experience supporting students with special needs, including behavioral and/or autism spectrum disorders, preferred
Active Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Responsibilities
