About The Position
Provide dedicated 1:1 instructional, behavioral, and communication support to a high school student with autism and significant communication needs. Assist the student in staying engaged in classroom activities and building greater independence through positive support and appropriate redirection. Support the student’s personal-care routines as needed, including reminders for restroom use. Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to promote a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment
- 60 college credit hours
- Associate degree or college coursework preferred
- Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification
- Experience supporting students with autism, special education, behavioral needs, or related disabilities
- Strong attendance, communication, and teamwork skills
