About The Position
This position is for a Special Education Paraprofessional at Red Wing High School. The role involves supporting students with special needs. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 6.75 hours per day, from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, following the school calendar. The pay rate ranges from $21.08 to $22.24 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications, and according to the Red Wing Education Support Personnel Association Master Agreement.
Requirements
- Patient, adaptable, and possess a genuine passion for supporting students with special needs.
- Highly organized, responsible, and able to follow directions.
- Hold or be eligible for Highly Qualified status as defined by Minnesota state requirements (e.g., Associate's degree or higher, or successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment).
- Willingness to become Highly Qualified upon hire.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with specific disabilities (e.g., autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders) is a plus.
