About The Position

The Special Education Paraprofessional provides support and interventions for students with academic, social, emotional, and/or behavioral needs. Primary duties include supporting emotional regulation and successful participation in the classroom. Candidates will collect data and work in collaboration with classroom teachers to develop appropriate strategies to promote student success.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Experience working with students

• Associate/Technical degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Collect data.
• Work in collaboration with classroom teachers to develop appropriate strategies to promote student success.
• Maintain flexibility as a team member supporting staff and students.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all information regarding students.
• Perform duties within a daily schedule and with an awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
• Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
